My nest wifi was unplugged and when I plugged it back in it would no longer reconnect. So thtough Google Home I went through the process of re-setting it up. I no longer have the QR scan barcode but I see the setup code. However when I type the setup code in the app the characters will not enter and only some will go through but only if lowercase. I'm stumped here. What do I do?

Force close the Google Home app, clear cache, and try to start the setup process again. Sometimes the Google Home app gets what device it's requesting a code for wrong.
You can also try from a different device (Android, iOS, iPadOS) with the Google Home app using the same Google account.

Thanks for the suggestion that did not help. The Google Home app does not allow certain characters like the letter 'a' that is in the setup code found on the bottom of the mesh point.

Not from a different iOS or Android device either?

Hi majortoaster,
That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have, and we apologize for the delay. A few questions: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? What device are you using to set up your network (iOS or Android)? Do you have the Internet from your modem?
You can do a sequential reboot of your entire network and see if that helps, or please perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network to re-establish the connection on your connected devices. Here's how:
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks for helping, olavrb!
