Google Nest Mesh devices randomly going offline

I have a Nest Wi-Fi Router (H2D on 13729.57.27) with the second one (H2D on 13729.57.27) in a Mesh, acting as a Wi-Fi Point. They've functioned almost flawlessly since their setup.  In the last few days, I've had the following issues:

  • Two days ago, my Sonos speakers all started flashing and not responding to the Sonos app.  Setting them up from scratch again resolved the problem.
  • Yesterday my outdoor PurpleAir Air Quality Monitor device went offline on the web. The device went into initial network setup mode. Setting it back up fixes the issue for a very short time and then it returns to network setup mode.  I powered off both Wi-Fi routers and my Cable Modem, but this did not resolve the issue.
  • This morning, my Nest x Yale door lock went offline. I have not looked into it yet.
  • This morning I noted that my LG Oven and Dishwasher appear to be offline. I have not looked into it yet.
  • This morning, my DLink DCH-S161 flood monitor went offline. I have not looked into it yet.
  • This morning, my Gosund WP-3 Smart Plugs went offline. I have not looked into it yet.

I had to start over with everything listed in my previous broken list, plus my Tempest hub. It all works now, but I don't know why everything broke or if it will do so again. Not happy

I see that my WeatherFlow Tempest weather monitor was offline for 8 hours and just came back online. Another issue...

Resetting my Gosund plugs fixed them for now. It's a painful process and I don't have faith that just setting them back up is the solution

Hi Ricorguy,

Thanks for posting, and I'm sorry to hear that some of your devices got disconnected from your WiFi and had to be set up again. I'm glad to know that everything is working now. Please observe it for now and let us know if it happens again so we can investigate further.

Thanks,

Edward
