Google Nest Pro point say offline occasionally in Home App, BUT not really offline - part 2

The issue is identical to what many have reported on the original thread Google Nest Pro point say offline occasionally in Home App, BUT not really offline however this thread has now been closed yet no clear solution was provided other than a Community Specialist @ByronP asking to fill out a form in the end:

Thank you for your response. I apologize that the previous steps didn't work. Let's check other options.

The team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

Let me know once you're done and check your email for any updates.

Regards,

Byron

This connectivity issue happens at least 3 times a month.  The only way to have everything return to normal is power cycling the individual points.

Here are keys facts:

  • I have all 4 nodes on a wired backhaul.
  • Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is set on the upstream router for the parent point.
  • My unmanaged switch is downstream from the parent point.
  • I have forced closed the Google Home app and reopened, yet issue persisted.
  • Google WiFi > DNS is set to Custom and with values 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
  • Network mode for all points
    • parent : NAT (standard) mode
    • child 1: Bridge mode
    • child 2: Bridge mode
    • child 3: Bridge mode

I didn't have issues with the same configuration on my Linksys Velop Mesh System, but I wanted 6E and Matter so I switched to Google WiFi Pro yet I find myself always having to repair it...it has not been self-healing , set and forget as promised thus far.

Hi Outoftime_mcfly,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that your Google Nest Pro points are occasionally showing as offline in the Google Home app, even though they are still functioning online, and this happens at least 3 times a month. The only way to resolve this is power cycling the individual points. I appreciate the troubleshooting you've taken so far. Help is here!

Given that you've exhausted all troubleshooting steps and this inconvenience still persists, therefore the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

Be sure to submit the following relevant information:

  • Community Thread
  • Community Username
  • Email address

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.
