Google Nest Wifi Pro router 2.4GHz radio turned off

I have the Google Nest Wifi router and point (both Model: G6ZUC,
Software version: 3.73.406133) connected over wireless backhaul and experienced something unusual this morning.

I have two older devices which only connect on the 2.4Ghz band, and one of them lost its connection.  I assumed it was the device, so I tried to reconfigure the device's network settings and it still wouldn't connect to the network on which it's been working for years.  I decided to try connecting it to my guest network and it immediately connected.

My wife then had a problem connecting to our 2.4GHz printer and it was showing offline.  Two devices can't be a coincidence, so I restarted the router and network, and everything was able to connect again.  There are no errors or notifications for network errors or even the restart in the home app activities for the network (something that should certainly be reported).

First time occurrence for me, but is this something that has been seen before by others, and is there something that can be done to prevent a recurrence?

Thanks and regards,

Howard

My Google Nest Wifi Pro router 2.4GHz radio turned off post has NOTHING whatsoever to do with this thread to which you moved it!  My initial post at the top of this thread concerned download bandwidth from the point being diminished by a factor of ten occasionally and only being fixable by a power cycle reset of the point.

This post concerns the router 2.4GHz radio shutting off for only my main network while the guest network radion works fine.  The only thing these two issues have in common is that they are both resolvable only by a restart - the point by a power cycle reset and the 2.4GHz radio by a software reset from the Google home app.

Please separate these two topics and provide any insights you can as to the cause and remedy.

Thank you,

Howard
