Google Nest Wifi and Google Home Randomly starts playing music and alarms at home

I have the following in multiple rooms at home:

  1. 1 Google Home
  2. 2 Google Home mini's
  3. 1+5 Nest Wifi (One primary connected to my router and the remaining 5 added to it as my network mesh)

Problems:

  1. Sometimes when I set an alarm in my kitchen, the alarm plays in my bedroom.
  2. The various Nest Wifi and google home's randomly starts playing music and when I ask it to stop it starts playing in another room.

Takeaways for Google!

  1. This tells you that this is becoming an annoying product when randomly I hear music playing in my home office when I am in the middle of an office call!
  2. You are going to start losing customers!

Hello Askraja,

Thanks for your post. I am sorry to hear that your devices are going off randomly, I can understand how frustrating that is! Let's take a look into this issue, I would be more than happy to help. First, I have some quick questions to get a better understanding of your situation.

  • Are any of your devices set up in a speaker group?
  • Have you adjusted your "Hey Google" sensitivity for each respective device?
    • This will make sure that all of your devices aren't responding and doing the same command.
  • Do you have any routines set up?
  • Are you the only person on the WiFi network that has access to control the devices?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

I appreciate your patience and look forward to your response. Let's get this issue resolved!
