I have five Google and Nest WIFI devices.
My main HUB stopped working so I factory reset the devices and reinstalled.
Three of the WIFI devices connected fine but two of them won't connect.
They are both model AC-1304.
I can see them both in the Google Home app and I can select them when I "Set up a device"
QR code scans and it connects to the setupxxxxxx SSID but I then get an error:
"Connection failed"
Try again just comes back to the same error.
I have tried it connected via ethernet to the main hub or via WIFI -no difference.
My modem / router is setup in DMZ mode as it doesn't have a bridge mode but this made no difference either.
Any suggestions (apart from throwing them away)?

I have the same issue. The point is the setup can detect the SETUP#### network at the beginning. But for some reason it disconnect and never listed again under available WiFi network until I reset the device again (factory reset)
it seems Google missed up with the latest firmware release

Hi, everyone.
Sorry for the setup issues you're having with your WiFi networks. I know it can be extremely frustrating to deal with that.
You guys are correct that there is a known bug with the Home app. The bug can affect the setup process. Right now, we're working on a fix. There is a new app update that is out now, however, so make sure that you have updated before trying once more.
As I know more, I'll keep you all updated. Thanks.
