Google Wi-Fi pppoe set up

When trying to set Google primary router to use Pppoe. Message shows changes are not available (dhcp to pppoe). Removed Ethernet cable from primary router and complied with the other conditions as shown on the pop up menu). Still not allowed to change. Any ideas? Using Plusnet 2 router on bridging.
