Google WiFi 6 enabled

I’m installing a new Google fiber, 6E router and when I get to the step to add the router to the Google Home can’t scan or enter a number that works. My phone doesn’t recognize the.qr code. The numbers on the bottom of the device don’t work. Any suggestions?

Hello @Ttg

Assuming your Google Fiber router looks like this:

... or one of the other units on this web page: (https://gfiber.com/support/en/answer/124/ ), it does not appear to be compatible with the Google Home app, because it's not actually made by Google.

Nest WiFi, Nest WiFi Pro, and the older Google WiFi units are/were made by Google and are compatible with the Google Home app, but the Google Fiber hardware is sourced from another company and is managed using the GFiber app instead.

I believe there was a time that Google Fiber shipped Nest WiFi Pro units to their 1Gbps customers, but it doesn't look like they are currently.
