Google Wifi Setup - Connection Failed

Papa_Joe
Community Member

I've purchased the Google Wifi mesh and been using it since December with no problems. due to some recent network problems, I decided to do a factory reset for my router and also my Google wifi access points. The router on it's own is working fine now and I can connect directly to it and have full internet access. However, when trying to setup my google wifi mesh network, I keep on receiving "Connection Failed" error message when trying to set up the Access Point that connects directly to the router. I've tried multiple times, also swopping out the pod with one of the others. I've also tried multiple times to disconnect power, and restart the router and also the Google Wifi AP. Unsuccessful. I'm out of options and need help please.

Hello Joe,

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

Please use another phone or tablet to set up additional Google Wifi points on your mesh network. If that did not work, try connecting an Ethernet cable to the router and then to the access point during the configuration process and see if that helps.

Best,
Lovely
