Google mesh won’t reset

Moerakker

Hello fellow users

I have this generation 1 Google Wi-Fi which I cannot factory reset

-after holding the reset button for 10 seconds it’s flashes blue but after the blue flashes it goes back to flashing orange

—which means that the Wi-Fi point doesn’t have Internet connection

I tried the sequence from the other firmware version which does not allow me to start the reset process

I have other Wi-Fi mesh network units and they were all easy to reset , however this one just doesn’t want to go in reset mode

it flashes blue then soft blue after a while it goes in yellow flash mode

—however if I keep on holding the reset button depressed it turns into a yellow flash sequence and stays like that

maybe the unit is broken?

Given following documentation:

If your firmware is older than 13729.57.27 (the newest available AFAIK), hold reset button while inserting power. Might be relevant? Read more in the linked doc. 🙂

I don't work for Google.
