Hey Google

When I say "Hey Google" the response is "I am not set up yet go to Google Home" I have gone to Google home but can't figure out what I need to do to set it up and where I need to do it

Thank you for your post. Let's get this issue resolved so that you can use your device smoothly! I would be more than happy to help. First, I have some questions.

  • Which device are you having a problem with? (Model name, generation number).
  • Is this the first time you are setting up the device?
  • Does the device show up as connected on the Google Home App?
  • Have you tried to do a reboot and a Factory Data Reset? Is there any improvement? 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
      Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
