How do you delete a schedule in google wifi with the new home app?

How do you delete a schedule in the new home app with google Wi-Fi?

You should be able to disable, or delete schedules by navigating to the "Family WiFi" section in the Home app. From here, you should see a list of your schedules and if you tap on the one you wish to delete, and then hit the three dots in the top right, and you should find options to delete or disable the schedule.

I have schedules that migrated from the old google wifi to the new google home.  These old schedules do not show the options to edit or delete.

 

New schedules I created do however.  

How can I delete these old schedules?

Hey there, 

Sorry to hear about the troubles you're having with deleting old schedules, but I'm happy to help. 

You should be able to disable, or delete schedules by navigating to the "Family WiFi" section in the Home app. From here, you should see a list of your schedules and if you tap on the one you wish to delete, and then hit the three dots in the top right, and you should find options to delete or disable the schedule.

Yes, that doesn't work.

 

If I add a new schedule, that works as expected.

 

The existing schedules that were migrated do not have any option to open or edit them.  They are greyed out and when clicking on them nothing happens.

 

I am happy to send a screen recording showing this if that would help.

Hey there, 

Thanks for the patience on this. 

Our engineering team has gotten back to us and stated that usually issues with the Google Home app showing a greyed out option when deleting a schedule indicates problems with the cloud services or problems occurring from when transitioning from the old app to the new one which is why there are permission issues stopping them from successfully deleting the schedule. 

 

As a workaround, it is advised to re-set up the mesh network, delete the current Household and create a new one. This way, the cloud services will refresh and would be able to delete the schedules moving forward. It is also advised to check if the Web and App Activity of the Gmail account used for the setup is enabled.
