My ISP block google DNS so that my nest mini, nest hub, and old google home speaker cannot connect to my ISP. I found at google support that google wifi has its setting to modify DNS so that I bought google WIFI especially for this purpose.

The problem is, my google Wifi seems to be ok because I can change it into my ISP DNS. But still my google home speaker, nest mini, and nest hub cannot connect to my ISP eventhough I have set up my google mesh wifi with my ISP's DNS.

I think google has set DNS rebinding as default on nest hub, nest mini, and old google home speaker. How do disable DNS rebinding on these devices?

Hi, FDm.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with your ISP and the DNS addresses. I'm sure it's frustrating to have to deal with that. Let's see what we can do to get things working 100% for you.

You mentioned that your ISP was blocking Google's DNS. Have you spoken with them about why they are doing that? In most cases, if you contact your ISP and explain to them that your network devices need access to a specific DNS set, they will unblock that for you. Before trying to get too deep into using different addresses and configurations, I would call them and see what they can do for you.

If you are unable to find any luck with the ISP directly, please let me know and we'll see what we can do on our end.

Thanks.

Hey, FDm.

I'm just following up to see if you saw my reply and if you were able to get this sorted out. Let me know if there's anything else I can do here.

Thanks.
