IMAP sync issues started out of nowhere

Trying to help my dad with his email issues and did a ton of troubleshooting so here is what we found 

 

1) about 2 weeks ago all his devices that connect through 995 and 587 to his email company (charter) via imap now all have sync issues   

2) after trying everything I had him connect via wifi to his phones hotspot and it worked fine. I had him swap to his old router and it worked fine. 

3) he’s using outlook on a Pc but I also downloaded Thunderbird and it failed too

 

at a loss

A few questions: was your father able to access his emails before? If yes, when did the issue start? Were there recent changes made? 

Please perform a 2-minute reboot on your entire network by unplugging and then re-plugging your modem, Google Nest Wifi router and points. Let me know how it goes.

Yes everything was working fine then all the wireless devices and Ethernet devices that check IMAP started having sync issues.  Already rebooted.  Tried everything. I’m technical and can’t figure it out.  It’s also intermittent- works about 25% of the time

Hey Bdogs4ever,

I just want to make sure you've already tried a factory reset on your father's Google Nest Wifi devices by following the steps here. If not, please reset your network and create a new one.

Still not working consistently-it’s very intermittent. I’m still waiting for someone to chime with the same issue.
