Nest Mesh Wi-Fi throttling issues.

Hi,

I have purchased and been in discussions with my ISP for months arguing that I have speed issues. I have since put my ISP supplied router in and the speed they are delivering is what I am paying for. I am not getting this through the Nest Wi-Fi device. When I prioritise a device, it gives me the full speed on that particular device. Can you please push a firmware update or a fix to this kit ASAP please so I can make use of the hardware I have purchased. If not, can you arrange a collection or manufacture service quality uplift number so I can return them from where I purchased them from.

I'm UK based, paying for 125mbps, but being throttled at 70mbps across a main router device and 1 mesh point. I was thinking about buying another mesh point to see if that helped, but I shall not, and wish to get the issue resolved.

If there is a known fix, or update, please let me know.

Many thanks.

Hey, kevinp23.

Sorry for the issues you're having with inconsistent speeds. This is actually part of an ongoing issue that we're seeing and we do have internal teams working on a solution for this. As of right now, I don't have a timeline for when a fix might be made available, but I will update the thread when I do know more. I know it's frustrating, but I'm hoping to hear more soon.

Thanks.

Hi,

Is there any update to this please? Or can you advice on how I can get a refund from my ISP as you are throttling the internet speed I am paying for? Please make contact to arrange this. Many thanks.

Hi Jeff and @User123456 , is there any update at all to this and do you have a link to the main thread this is posted on as I can see there are plenty of other complaints around this. I would assume Google has this as one of their priorities to fix? Could you arrange for someone from Customer services to make contact with me please?

Hey, kevinp23.

I'm still waiting for more info, but I'll update the thread as soon as I know more. I know it's frustrating, but thanks for hanging in there with us.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the response. But hanging in there with you & Google is really the only option we all have. Has this thread or, in particular my comments about getting Customer services to contact me been made visible to them?

Hey, everyone.
As an update for you all, I wanted to let you know that we have a firmware update coming out now. Some people may have already received the update, but most will see it coming still. Everyone will have it before the end of April. If you receive that update and don't see an improvement in your issues here, please let me know and we can keep looking into things.
Thanks.

Hi. Thanks @Jeff for the update. How do we know the firmware has been updated? I can't see the option on the menu to see the current firmware? If you can advice, then I can keep an eye on the update and give feedback. Thanks, Kevin

Hi @Jeff @Google It's now 15th May and I'm still seeing slow speeds. I don't know if the firmware update has been sent or not. Can you advice on next steps and the complaints process please? The lack of customer service satisfaction is appalling, Do you have the latest update in regards to the next steps to take to resolve this issue?

Has this been solved? On my 1 gig network, with Netgear i get 800/s wireless, but i upgraded to Google Nest Mesh for the range from Costco. Plugged in i get speeds of 800, but wireless is throttled to 100/s.  On my Home app, setting my device to "priority" results in a meager temporary boost.  Anyone else still having this issue?  Is my product defective and needs to be returned?
