Nest Pro wifi network - how to remove unknown or old devices from the network?

I have a Google Nest Pro wifi network and am using Google Home app to administer the network.   I have been looking all around on the app for functionality that allows me to remove unknown or old devices from the network.  For example, a prior iphone or prior laptop that we no longer have.  Or perhaps I have seen a device listed as "unknown" and I would like to remove it rather than allow it to stay on the list of devices.

It seems that there is no functionality on the Google Home app to facilitate the removal of devices from the network.  I have used about 4-5 wifi systems over the years and this type of functionality is common.  This Google Nest Pro system is the first time I have encountered lack of this functionality.

Anyone have any insight on this?  Thanks.

Hi there gsgallant,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand why you'd like to remove these devices, although directly deleting them isn't possible, let's find how google home app manages them.

The Google Home app doesn't currently have a way to manually remove inactive devices from the list. These devices listed as unknown were connected previously and might reappear with their names on the device list if they are connected again.

However, even though there's no way to remove them, these unknown devices will disappear from the list of devices after 30 days of inactivity.

I would recommend using this feedback form. Your comments about these features help us create a better WiFi experience, and they will go directly to our development team. This way, there's a chance the feature to remove devices manually might be implemented in the future!

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel.

I submitted the feedback but please note that I already submitted this feedback several months ago so this is the second time.
