Hi There,
I recently purchased the Nest Wifi Pro router to replace the one provided as part of my fibre connection. I have contacted the Company who whitelisted the MAC Address of the router and then confirmed that
"Once we have this and it's added (the MAC Address), you'll need to configure your router to DHCP mode with the VLAN status as 'untagged'
The router however won't connect to the internet, when I go into the settings (where it gives the option to restart the network or edit the settings) I choose the DHCP mode, it then tries again, but no luck. Interestingly if I go into the settings again, its still unchecked.
I've read through a lot of guides regarding VLAN and that the router allows some VLAN settings, but can find nothing at all on a VLAN status as untagged....
Am I doing anything wrong, or any suggestions of things to try?
Cheers
Rob

Untagged means no VLAN tags, which is what Nest Wifi does by default. As in, no additional config should be required. Here is the few VLAN tags Nest Wifi does support:
And if your ISP requires the router to support VLAN tags, here is info on a workaround by using a managed switch between the modwm and Nest Wifi to untag VLAN before it hits Nest Wifi:

Perfect thank you so much for coming back to me. I also asked the internet provider to move me on to a static IP address to see if this would help. It seems to, but went down. I’m assuming therefore my issue with the ISP!
thanks again!
