It turns out that for all device, we are held hostage to the testing lab. I put a Pro with 3 units in the house, and it worked fine for me, but the gaming wife was always complaining. I ignored it. Then my hotshot son from California was complaining about video calls. A long search found many people complaining, but no solutions. I found a lot of great praises for the product, but they were using a wired backhaul.
I can't rewire the house, and it needs something like Cat7 or 8 cable, so I got another set of 3 devices. It is now solid. I tested with Android Ping Monitor, and it gives a 90% quality. This is the same anywhere in the house, and right beside the central, wired router unit.
I conclude that in a big testing lab, you can get away with 15 ft for the backhaul. I have found it is really one wall, or floor, and don't go near Canadian outside walls at 30 below. Just placing the units away from the outside wall knocked the quality up a few points. So, wired backhaul, or denser spacing for Canada. Also, my tv homerun is working perfectly, and was horrible before.
