Nest point activation not working

Devansh

I got a new Nest wifi point. When I opened Google home app, it asked me to install device utility app. I did that and followed the steps. It seemed that activation was successful. I then went back to the Google home app. But it again asks to activate the device. What am I missing? Why did we add a new step of "Activation" via a separate app.?

my issue was resolved. I simply restarted the phone and it finally appeared in the device list and I was able to link it.

@AndreaNest's suggestion got me unstuck, but I think got stuck in a loop in the Home app, asking me what type of device I wanted to add, but never finding anything. I factory reset the wifi point and went back to the Home app. It then worked (and didn't need additional activation, that appears to be independent of the reset).

That should say "I then got stuck in a loop..."
