Had my wifi pro for a while now at least a couple years and it's worked pretty well. In the early stages I had random disconnects where one pod would go offline and eventually would reconnect even if I did nothing. Of course unplugging and restarting it would bring it online faster. Support provided some settings adjustments and it seemed to make the problem go away.
But in the last week it has resurface and now it occurs much more frequently. There are times when I am at work and this happens when I see the notification and check it through the app and hour after the notification, the pod is already back online with no intervention of my own. This is extremely frustrating!!! When working at home, connections drop briefly, I know because I will be working on my laptop and get the 'no internet connection' error and check my wifi pro to see the it's offline. It does come back usually within 15 mins.
I checked the software version and it's up to date. I also checked because I thought maybe a recent update is causing the issue but since the last update was April doesn't seem to be the cause of a problem surfacing in the last 2 weeks.
I have been all over these forums and other trying nearly everything people have suggested. The random disconnects STILL occur! And I see there are so many others out there posting and describing a very similar problem so I am nearly positive this isn't a one off problem.
I really didn't pay this much for a mesh wifi system only to have constant guesswork as to when it will work!!
Has anyone found anything that really resolves the issue? Nearly all smart devices in my home, doorbell, smart plugs, Chromecast with Google TV, hubs, etc and of course my mesh router are all Google. I went that way because I thought all these devices would work much better together but now I am not so sure and wondering if it's time to dispose of this mesh system and find something reliable. Is there a solution that permanently solves the problem???

We just purchased and installed the Nest Wifi Pro 3-Pk in the past few days, and the issues that @rgrose described are also happening to me. Devices that randomly disconnect include a Windows laptop, a Windows desktop, two iPhones, and a Roku TV. For us, they disconnect and then reconnect after 20-30 seconds, but this is worrisome. Should I return this product? It took FOREVER to get all my Google devices set up, since everyone one of them had to be factory reset to change to the new network name. I'd hate to have to go through that again!

Hey @snorkelbuddy not sure if I would tell you to return it but to clarify my issues are more about the pods themselves going offline randomly. Devices much less frequently but its more frustrating when I get notifications about the pods going offline then coming back on their own hours later.

Sorry for muddying the waters. I'll start my own thread.

Hello @rgrose, @snorkelbuddy,
Thank you for posting in the community.
Sorry to hear about the random connection drops with your Google Nest Pro. I appreciate your effort in trying to troubleshoot the devices on your own. Here are some troubleshooting steps:
1. Check network load and interference.
Please follow the steps above and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
Regards,
Jorge.

I've just signed up to this community, I've been having the same issue for a year.
I was convinced it was my ISP so changed suppliers last Autumn but the issue remained, I have tried the advice that google gives every time this issue is highlighted to them with no joy, then I replaced the ISP router/modem (cos I foolishly believed Googles fake assistance to this widespread problem) with a Draytek modem, then connected my Google router directly to the Draytek. Exactly the same.
The problem has to be a bug within the Google mesh system itself, I have finally given up and ordered a rival mesh system. I will report back here as to whether the issue magically disappears or not.

Hello @Zebediah,
Thanks for posting in the community.
I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing Wi-Fi issues with your Google mesh system for a year and haven't found a resolution despite troubleshooting steps and even changing Internet service provider router/modem. I understand how frustrating this must be.
While I appreciate you trying the troubleshooting steps we offer, it's important to understand the root cause of the issue. Even though you've moved to a different mesh system, we'd still like to investigate further and see if there's anything we can learn from your experience to improve our products and support others.
You can share the details mentioned above here in the community forum, or if you prefer a private channel, you can contact Google Nest Support directly through the Google Home app or by sending feedback through this Feedback link.
I wish you the best with your new mesh system. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Regards,
Jorge

The same as multiple (mostly closed) threads on here, the mesh loses connection to the web, though previously the ISP provided router seemed happy. I installed a Draytek Vigor 170 so the Google itself logs into my ISP, but exactly the same thing happens, it is completely random when it occurs, it returns to normal after rebooting the network via the app, or by powering the Google router off and on.
Sometimes we can go nearly a week, sometimes it will happen a few times in a single day, no pattern that I can see.

Hello @Zebediah,
Thanks for posting in the community.
I'm so sorry to hear you've been experiencing these random internet connection drops with your Google mesh system, even after trying a different router. I understand how frustrating this must be, and I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot and share this information with me, even though you've seen similar closed threads.
In this case, since you are no longer on the Google Mesh system, what I suggest is that you submit your feedback through this form so that engineers can look into this issue in depth and improve the Google Mesh system for future updates. I will also share feedback on your specific issue to fix it and prevent valuable customers from switching to a different mesh system.
Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks.
All the best,
Jorge
