New nest WiFi set up

I done the reset modem at least 5 times. I still cannot get Nest to connect.

Where in the setup process do you fail?

Have you made sure you are not connected to any VPN (including Apple Private Relay) during setup, and that the Google Home app has been granted access to local network?

I'm having (I think) the same issue as posted in https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Wifi/Nest-router-setup-failure-not-working-stuck-in-loop....

The failure is at step 10 in your link.  After scanning QR code / entering setup code, the process runs for 5 or so minutes before failing to a screen which advises resetting the modem.   

Please advise if you have any ideas other than the soft and hard resets already performed...

@nest_and_vest, thanks for letting us know and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • What's the light status of your Google WIfi when you're setting it up?
  • Can you access the internet while connected to Google Wifi's temporary setup network?
  • What's the exact message that you're getting when it fails?
