I'm trying to help my brother port forward for a minecraft server and am mostly aware of how to set up port forwarding rules. The problem is that neither of his pc's ipv4 addresses are found in the device list. I know that he's connected to the right network via ethernet. One of the devices is eerily similar to his ip but off slightly... for example a "135" where there should be a "35", with the rest identical. Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions? And a related question, in the last rule section of port selections, should I input a single port as "25565" or a range of 25565 to 25565?
Thanks

For reliable port forwarding, make sure the device does not randomize its MAC address. And set a static IP by DHCP reservation:
Then port forward:
If you still can't see it, maybe there is an additional NAT router in between?

After setting a static ip on the router and PC it does show up under the device list, but after several port forwarding attempts I’m still unsuccessful. I believe I’m dealing with a double NAT from our modem, which should be an easy enough fix. Thanks for your help.

Hi folks,
@olavrb, thanks for the help!
@thatonealexgu, how's it going with your Google Wi-Fi? Were you able to bridge your router to fix the double NAT issue?
Thanks,
Edward
