Powerline Extender with Google Wifi

Hi there,

I am having a similar issue with my setup to a previous user on this thread.

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Wifi/Google-Nest-WFI-via-Powerline-connection/m-p/153395

I am trying to use my primary google wifi connected directly to my router and another point connected wireless upstairs. For my third point, I am trying to connect in a wired state through a TP-Link powerline adaptor to my garden office. As recommended in the previous post, it tested it in a wireless state in the house and it showed that the connection was wired, however since moving it to the garden room through the powerline adaptor, it has reverted to wireless (with a very weak signal).

My setup is as follows

Modem/Router >>> Google Wifi Point 1

Google Wifi Point 1 >>> TP Link TL-WPA7617 KIT

TP Link TL-WPA7617 KIT >>> Google Wifi Point 2

As this powerline extender has its own wifi, could that be conflicting and I need to turn it off or something?

Looking for any guidance people might be willing to share!

Thanks

Have you confirmed that the powerline adapter in the garden room provides a working ethernet connection back to the primary Nest Wifi unit and the internet? Test by plugging a computer to it by ethernet cable for instance.

I don't work for Google.
