Regular mesh reboots

Pdesjardins

My Google mesh regularity goes off line, requiring reboot. Have been in touch with my ISP and they advise that their connection is fine. I have 2 Google Nest routers and other points throughout my home, have switched the routers around and still have this same issue ( quite annoying…) Is there a problem with my routers?

Hi, Pdesjardins.

Sorry to see that you're having network connection issues. I imagine that's frustrating to have to keep restarting the network so often. I have a few questions to help us dive into this and see what might be going wrong.

  • If you don't manually reboot, do the points stay offline, or will they eventually reconnect on their own?
  • Do all points and the router go off together, or is it sometimes a single device?
  • Is there any predictable timing to the disconnect, or is it completely random on when it happens?
  • When the WiFi network goes offline, is the modem still showing an active connection from your ISP?

If you can think of anything else you've noticed, please let me know and we can get this worked out. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks.
