Remove Wifi router from Google Home completely.

I just installed the wifi router with a new Internet Provider. I still have my old ISP and want to continue to use it for another week. When I try and use my chromecast on the TV it won't work. I shut off the router but it still wants to use it as the internet provider. I think the only way I can use my present provider is to delete the devise completely. I can reinstall when I am disconnecting the other provider. HELP!

Did you skip your old ISP’s router?

Many ISP’s dont support linking straight to a third party router.

You may have to use your old router in bridge mode to make stuff work correctly.

remember that double routing will give you a bad time trying to do anything network wise.

I have 2 completely separate situations. Cable with modem and router. New fiber optic Internet only provider's modem and connected new router to that. My cable tv, internet, phone work fine. The problem is google home wants to find the Nest router for ISP when I connect my Chromecast to the TV because I access it via Google Home. I figured the best way to have the Chromecast go back to seeing my cable internet is to eliminate the item it's trying to connect to.
