Replacing OnHub Router with Nest Router

StephenJ

I am trying to replace my trusty OnHub router with a new Nest router.  I've tried running the setup, but I keep getting the message that the router is incompatible with the OnHub network.  I was really hoping to get the new network set up before I had to take the old one down, so I could transition.  Anyway, I tried removing the OnHub router from my ISP's router, but I still got the error.  I then tried to also remove the power, so no OnHub network would be broadcasting any wi-fi signal, but I *still* get the error.  Frustrating!  How do I set up this new Nest router?

Thank you. I was afraid that was what I needed to do. Thanks for confirming.

You can't do what you're trying to do....You have to start over with an new network.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.

Suggest keeping the old network name and pass so you don't have to reconnect various devices in your home.
