Hello,
I have a Google Nest Wifi Router (2nd Gen) that is brand new. I made a change to the existing network over the weekend, and I had to manually power cycle all of the existing routers. All of them came back up except for this one. I've factory reset it several times and gone through the setup process. Every time when it attempts to connect to the mesh network, I receive an error of "Couldn't connect to the mesh network." I have no idea why this router is doing this, but I've tried to set it up next to the main router and other locations in the home. Nothing seems to be working. I have an iPhone and private relay is turned off to iCloud, no VPN is on, and the Google Home App has local network access. I'm out of troubleshooting options. I also had a gen 1 router that was having the same issue. Originally, I thought the wireless card may have gone bad which is why I purchased the Gen 2 router, but it's having the same issue.

Hi RegularGuy,
Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you're going through trouble setting up your Nest Router.
When you mention "other routers," are you referring to access points? If so, can you clarify if the device that can't connect is an access point or the main router? It seems you also have a 1st-generation Nest Router experiencing the same issue. Could you tell me which one is the main router: the 1st or 2nd generation?
Since you can't connect two routers directly to your modem at the same time, this might be why the 2nd-generation router isn't connecting. Only one router can be connected to the modem.
Keep me updated.
Cheers,
Jonathan
