Slow Speeds

I am only getting 28mbps download speeds. I pay for 50mbps and I get 53mbps directly out of the modem and within the last month I have only been getting the 28mbps from google wifi. I was previously getting the same as my modem. I have restarted and factory reset all the points and changed Ethernet cords and ports on my modem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Return the product if you can get a refund. Community have been waiting over a year for a fix.

I have had my google WiFi for several years now and it’s just recently been a noticeable problem. It well past the return period.

  • Are there any nearby devices that could cause interference?
  • Are all devices connected to your Wifi experiencing the issue?

I have tried the suggestions listed above. I have even factory reset all of my points and swapped and different one into the "router" position. Nothing has fixed my internet speed issues. All devices, in all locations of my house are having issues. Directly connected (CAT 5) to the ISP modem I am getting over 50mbps without issue, same computer on WiFi is only getting 25-28mbps. I have verified the Google Home App speed test against other speed testing websites with the same results. I will need to change to a different product if this cannot be resolved. It had not been a huge noticeable problem until recently so I am sure something more is going on.
