Super Slow Wifi

I recently moved and upgraded to Gb internet speeds from my ISP. When I first set up my nest wifi and point I got great speeds over wifi (6############ Mbps). Recently though I'm lucky to get 50 Mpbs even right next to the router. 

When I run a speed test with the home app it says I'm getting 900 Mbps download and directly wired devices are getting that speed. However, anything connected with wifi still only get ############ Mbps. A factory reset fixes the issue for about ten minutes then it seems to throttle back down. 

I have updated my DNS settings and no improvement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome. Just bought some from Amazon today. Noticed the same thing. Giga speed directly plugged in and 200 mps wifi. Going to return them after realizing there is an issue. Long forum post about this and Google simply does not care. Dodged a bullet.

Issue has been going on for 6+ months. Google has done nothing noticable. Send it back

Yeah man. Thank god for these forums and people actually posting they are having an issue that google does not care about. Saved me a whole lot of "unplugging" "plugging" "scratching head"

My Google Nest WiFi also randomly slows down to 0.25Mbs. Rebooting the devices helps temporarily, but then it does it again. I specifically bought this so I'd never have to reboot. Boy, do I feel foolish.

So I returned my Nest. I could never get over 300mps even standing over top. I bought the upgraded Eero 6 and now I am getting 925mps.

Yes, I have already returned the device as recommended by the Google technician I spoke with on the phone. We spent three hours on 2 separate days doing every version of a reset, factory reset, and setting's change and no improvement. According to them it was likely a "manufacturing defect". 

I now have an Asus Zenwifi AC router and it gives me 5############ Mpbs in all areas of my home.

I purchased these in May of 2021.  They worked well for a while, but I have been having the issue descried in this thread and others for as long as I can remember.  Blazing speed into the router from my modem, but the router consistently doesn't offer anywhere near that speed coming out of it to a device located within a foot of it.

Is there a way to return this product to Google and get a refund?  I'm long past the refund timeline from Amazon, but have owned it for less than  a year.  This issue appears to be what the product is as opposed to an issue with it, as threads like this go back months and months.

Very interested in return options; please provide.
