Trying to setup an Guest network

jpedersm

Im trying to setup an Guest network.  When doing so I enable the Guest network.  After this is done it asks for a name and password.  Once doing this I click on save and it never saves this network?  I think I have enabled it 5 times now and save the creds to have it not enable the network every time.  Any idea on what is going on here?

Hmm, that sounds strange.

You have the latest version of the Google Home app?

Have you tried rebooting the network, either through the Google Home app, or by pulling the power, then try again?

Can you try with a different device running the Google Home app?

Could you try to disable "Nest Wifi cloud services" (Wifi -> Settings icon -> Privacy settings), then it them again? I've read that this sometimes fixes strange problems like this.

Worst case factory reset your network (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246619?hl=en) and set it up from scratch (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9548301?hl=en). But I'd try the steps above first. And maybe wait 24h and try again, in case it's a temp backend problem.

I don't work for Google.
