So I’ll preface this by saying a year or two ago this device was plagued with the issue of constantly dropping wifi. Google denied it was a larger issue but enough people complained and it finally got fixed. I’m not sure if it’s back, but in the past 2 weeks I’ve had to restart my network 4 times. Since the fix. I hadn’t needed to do it once.
Curious if anybody has been having this issue as of late.
thanks.

What issue are you citing , can you give me more details?

I’m not quite sure what you are asking for. The wifi is dropping, meaning connected but no internet. It’s not the system as a hard wired machine maintains internet.

Okay so when you say the Wi-Fi is dropping, you mean your internet connection is dropping...which a totally separate thing.
When you connect to your network via Wi-Fi and have no internet that means your internal network is okay, but the source to the internet (modem) is not talking to the internet.
To give an analogy, Wi-Fi is much like the pipes in a home, they carry the water (internet) to where it needs to be. In your case the pipes are okay, but there is no water flowing. You need to check the modem/gateway to ensure that is working with the router properly.
How often does this occur can you provide more details? Do you use the hardware from the internet company? Explain your setup in detail.

I appreciate your input but I’m fairly tech savvy and your assessment of the situation is way off. My internet via wifi goes down, my internet for hard wired devices, both through the nest router and direct to modem, does not. If you look this up, this was a know issue. And in fact, it can happen to individual pods ie if you are connected to the bedroom pod, and you lost internet, devices connected to living room pod may still have internet. Admittedly this hasn’t been the case for a while but it’s happened a few times recently.
Without question it’s entirely possible for you to be connected to your wifi network and not have internet, and it be an issue with the router and not your modem.
This was a highly publicized issue with google wifi a while back but it was corrected so I’m interested to hear from someone who has the system, and had the issue, to see if they are experiencing anything similar now.

I appreciate your candid answer, I apologize I didn't mean to downplay your understanding of things. I think I may now be following better.
Refer me to the post refering to the issue you're refering to, I'd like to read in detail.....Is this a google wifi pro by any chance?
Let me know if I am following....because I have experienced something simmilar to this with my setup.
In my case where there are three points (call them A,B, and C) where A is the primary and points B and C are secondary.
Point C will go down arbitrarily, with B and A appearing fine, the main difference between point C and points B and A is point C has devices connected via ethernet.

I have a similar issue.
It seems to resemble previous problems from a few years ago reading the threads.
It worked fine up until maybe 2 weeks ago.
I have 1 nest router, 3 points and two google wifi points.
The wifi seems to be running but the internet connection disappears. A reboot of the network via the google home app solves it but the internet disappears again after a while.

Ya that’s where I’m at unfortunately. And your right, looks a lot like the problems of the past.
