Sorry for the issues you've had getting your WiFi point to reset. It sounds like a frustrating experience and I'll be happy to help you figure this out.

The button on the bottom of the Nest WiFi unit is the one you will use to factory reset the device. The steps for doing so are below.

1. Press and hold the factory reset button on your point. 
2. After about 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds until there's a sound confirming the device is resetting. 
3. After the device has been reset, the device will still appear in the Google Home app. To now remove the device and your previous network, follow the instructions for app factory reset.

One thing to note, the device must be powered up for the reset to work, so make sure you have it plugged in. If you are still having issues after going through those steps, please let me know.
