Hi guys - I am trying to improve the wifi at home and purchased 3 Google Nest Wifi Pro. I installed the 1st of the 3 acess points in stead of the regular router, and connected the Google Nest to the modem following the instructions from the Google Home App.
When Google Home checks for internet connection I get this error: The action could not be performed. (com.google.CastFramework.SetupLib.CastSetupError Error 14.
What is the actions needed to fix this error? Thanks in advance

Since you seem to be using an iOS device for the setup check the following:
If that makes no difference try the Google Home app with the same Google account from a different iOS or Android device.

Hi Kris6,
That certainly isn't the experience we want you to have. Here are the steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the "CastSetupError Error 14" you're encountering during setup:
1. Check Cables and Connections:
2. Restart Devices:
3. Update Google Home App:
4. Try a Different Device:
6. Check for Firmware Updates:
Additional Tips:

I hope this helps!
Thanks for helping, olavrb!

Hi Dan -
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried them all except using another device. I will try a second but still Iphone device this weekend, but I do not think this will solve the missing internet connection. I would prefer not to have to pay a network specialist to come and fix it - do you have more options that I can try?

Thanks all - it works, though not as intented as I had to connect the Nest WiFi Pro to the existing router. According to my ISP Google doe not allow for the nest Pro WiFi to be vlan tagged.

In case you're interested in options for ditching the ISP router:
VLAN support built in to Nest Wifi is very limited. Here is the official guidance:
It supports some tags, but PPPoE combined with VLAN it does not seem to support at all.
A workaround is to use a managed/smart switch with VLAN tag support, put it between your ISP equiment and Nest Wifi, and make it untag VLAN before traffic hits Nest Wifi. More info on this:

Thank you for chipping in with a suggestion. unfortunately, it did not solve the problem.
