I’m trying to connect the google Wi-Fi system I just bought to my google home app. At first, the app finds the device but when I try to move to the next step the app goes blank. I’ve tried connecting it with multiple devices, including an iPad and two different iPhones and got the exact same results on all of them.
I did find a similar post but it was closed with no resolution.
Information about my setup:
I’m based in the UK and I’ve bought the google Wi-Fi system in the UK as well from Amazon.
I’m following the instructions
I’m using the modem from my internet provider (hyperoptic), I’ve used the same modem and port for different devices and never had a problem.
Things I already tried:
Restarting the google Wi-Fi device
Resetting the device
Reinstalling the app
Trying with different devices
This looks to me like a problem with the iOS app implementation, even if there is something wrong with the setup a blank screen is definitely a bug. If anyone know a way to get around this I’ll appreciate the help.

Hi folks! Seeing @gasigo description I can see some similarities to my current issue. Live in Brazil and have 3 units bought in US (Amazon). System (2 units active, 1 never unboxed) has worked smoothly but started to show issues with NAT.... Called my ISP and started the debugging... I decided to reset to factory settings my network (using Home App - installed in my Iphone 11 / IOS 15.3.1) and my nightmare began.... Not able to reconfigure the AP's. Spoke w/ 3 different CSRs from Google support... 6 hours in the chat. Sometimes I cannot connect to the WiFI network during its creation (message: "Connection Failed"), other during the WiFi net setup (message: "Something went wrong") and I keep staying in a loop unless I decide skip/abort the configuration. Any help/tip would be very much appreciated . Thx!!!

Hey, gasigo.
Sorry for the late response here, but I wanted to check in to see if you were still having this issue and to see if you have done any additional troubleshooting since your original post. If you still need help, let me know and I'll be happy to work on this with you and try out some additional steps.
Thanks.

Hello, Jeff
I did manage to get it working but I had to get an Android device to do it, it really doesn't work on iOS. Now that I know the full process on Android I can tell you the iOS app fails when trying to open the camera to scan the QR Code.

Thanks for the follow up, gasigo. We're aware of some issues with iOS and it's being worked on internally. Hopefully a solid fix for that will roll out soon. I'm happy to hear that you got it worked out.
As we have our resolution here, I'll go ahead and close up the thread unless there's anything else you might need. If so, just let me know.
Thanks!
