Google Nest X Yale will not let me add guests still!! . FIX THIS OR REFUND What we’ve overpaid for. Otherwise I’ll go back to use a good old key since you can’t figure out something that worked so well before Google took over. I cannot add a guest and need to! I don’t have nest guard, I reinstalled nest and reinstalled and rebooted app. My husband can add sometimes but sometimes he gets error. And I always get the error something went wrong. What gives?!? And you’re not even responding to the many people complaining about this!!! This is a huge known issue since July 2021 and it’s April 2022 so why is this still happening??

Please elaborate a bit more so the community can assist you. I have multiple Yale X locks and experience none of your issues. I just tried at this moment to add a guest to the lock and had no issues. Again for us to help we need details. We know you are frustrated but being vague doesn’t allow us to reply with suggestions. I follow this group closely and do not see as you inferred “many people complaining”

Also, maybe they’ve been deleting all the hundreds of people complaining. I’m not lying here so please don’t try to paint me as someone trying to cover it up. And only this post was vague because I’ve posted elsewhere and feel like I’ve had to explain this multiple times. I don’t feel that it’s vague when I’m saying I can’t add guests and multiple people have had this issue: that’s all there is to it. Nothing bad about that and I didn’t think I had to explain myself further since there are other multiple posts of people saying Google when are you going to fix the ability to add guests to my lock???

This is the error hundreds on people on here are complaining about. You may not have a problem because maybe you have not merged to the Google nest. That seems to be where the problem starts. After we merged my access to adding guests stopped working but my husband was still able to add guests. And insidely his ability to add guests stopped as well. If you have the Yale X Nest, and haven’t merged to Google I would highly advise against it. They also say if you do the merge that it is irreversible and permanent. Contacting Nest they say it’s a known issue. But it’s been a known issue since July and super frustrating a huge company like Google can’t figure this out! They also won’t refund me my money because it’s beyond the 30 days since I purchased ….even though our second lock is barely 60 days since I purchased. The ability to add a guest is the biggest selling feature and why people choose Nest X Yale and we can’t even use that.

And as well its not just adding times for guests or setting schedules…. it won’t even let you add any guests period. They said it’s an iOS problem, but it seems many android users are also having the same problem. They also suggested using the website but that also won’t let me add.

We are having the same issue, same error code, same BS response from customer service. Pretty frustrating to have spent what we did on this system to have it function the same as a $50 electronic lock. Can’t even add a new passcode to guests that were added in the past.

Hi there,
I can see how this could be frustrating to experience, and I would love to look into this further for you. If you haven't already, you can learn here how to factory reset your Yale lock, which may help to reset issues it may be having. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Brad
