Nest Connect Error Code NA004

ICECOLDPIXEL

Recently bought the Nest Yale Lock and Nest Connect combo.  I haven't been able to add the nest connect or the nest yale lock to the nest app because the nest connect gives the NA004 can't find wifi networks issue.

I've tried factory resetting the nest connect

putting my phone(google pixel pro 7) in airplane mode and only having wifi and bluetooth on

tried connecting it to my wifi hotspot

restart wifi router

restarting phone

turning bluetooth on and off

uninstalled the nest app

cleared cache and data from app

NOTHING seems to work, has anyone been able to get past this error?

I sent it to google support but they said they are elevating it to higher engineers. I sent them the serial number and my purchase receipt(idk why they need the receipt i bought it from the google store) and still they haven't been able to resolve.

I'm pretty awesome with technology and I can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

sent it to google support but they say they are still investigating,  has anyone had any success getting past this error

Still an issue not able you add connect to current account... THIS IS NOT RESOLVED

Hi there,

I’m sorry for the delay. Let’s dig deeper into this — a few questions: what’s the status light of the Connect? How far is your Connect from the router? Were there any changes to your Wi-Fi network? Also, what Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Hold down your Connect’s button until the light pulses blue (about 10 seconds). Then, release the button.
  2. Wait for Connect’s light to turn green, which means the restart is complete.
  3. Try plugging your Connect into a different power outlet that doesn’t exceed 50 feet from the router
  4. Check for sources of wireless interference. Thick walls, floors, appliances, furniture, and even other electronics on the same network can cause interference.
  5. Factory reset your Connect. Hold your Connect’s button for much longer than 8 seconds, the light will turn yellow, which means your Connect is preparing to factory reset. Keep holding down the button, when the light flashes yellow then goes off, release the button.
  6. The recommended router settings are the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency. Check out this guide: Troubleshoot offline or disconnected Nest Connect.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

Hey there,

I want to make sure you're all good — did those steps work?

Nope still unable to add to my home

Hello there,

Got it — thanks for trying. Could you create a new home structure as a test home, then add your Connect? Try another device when pairing your Connect as well.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

JT
