I have always been impressed with Nest products starting with their thermostat. I was aware that Nest was developing additional products and was a bit annoyed that the new product rollouts seemed slow, but after purchasing additional Nest products I understood why the new products took so so long to become available…Nest took the time to get it right! In addition the functionality of the products, aesthetics was obviously a priority as well. My house is filled with Nest…thermostats, temperature sensors, cameras, smoke detectors and Nest Secure. The systems were great until Google came along. Since Google decided to shut down Nest secure I took up Google’s offer for the ADT system. Haven’t set it up yet and don’t know if I will. Why can’t Google or ADT duplicate the Nest door sensors? I mean a door sensor that is also a motion detector, provides a path light, and is aesthetically pleasing. Why throw that away?

Hi Rajmn,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community forum. We love your enthusiasm, and we'd like to thank you for continuing to use our Google Nest products. While we don't have any details to share about Nest Detect, we're always looking for ways to improve. You can share feedback about Google Nest in detail about the things you’re looking forward to seeing with Google Nest products.
Best,
Renz
