Nest Detect functionality after 4/8

After Nest Secure support stops, will it be possible for Detect sensors to continue to offer Pathlight and open tones? I would think Detects could still connect to WiFi through a Connect or if Guard could continue to function locally to serve that purpose.

There’s some indication (https://www.reddit.com/r/Nest/s/fgVR2QmWI7) Pathlight may continue to work even without a Guard but it’s unclear whether that will still be the case when the battery needs to be changed. In other words, will the Pathlight setting be ‘remembered’ after a battery change? The current default setting for Pathlight is off. At a minimum, it would be helpful if the default Pathlight setting can be changed to ‘on’, which should allow it to work even without a Guard or availability in Nest app.

What other security options are there which are similar to Google’s Nest Guard Security system in which you can automate the system to turn on automatically every night at a designated time?
