Nest Tag Keeps saying its connected to a different account even though its been removed

Hello.  I recently had a nest tag that was setup on a separate account.  I had established a new account of my own.  On the old account, I have already removed the nest tag.  When i'm adding the nest tag to my new account, its saying the nest tag is already connected to an account.

Issue is now resolved. Thanks!  Issue ended up being the account holder needed to remove the tag.  I thought I could just remove it myself since the tag was under my name, but that is not the case.  (I was also set as the household member and was able to remove other devices, so i figured i would be able to remove the tag from the account) -

 

Lesson learned.  For Nest Tags, only the account holder can remove the tags.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far? 

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

У меня такая же проблема с Nest Tag. Перезагрузка и возобновление заводских настроек хаба не помогает! Что делать?
