Help please geeni and google home are mad at each other

On Monday our home started telling us that it cannot connect to geeni.  I now can no longer get any of the devices to talk to each other correctly.   This has been fine for over a year now.  I have removed all devices and put them back on -resynced them- verified them to the WiFi - downloaded the update to Google home and now I’m at a loss - if my office 1 light works the other 3 in my fan will not and visa versa.   I’m at a loss of what to do and tired of trying to sync them to get them working again.  Any ideas?

Hello @Krswenson ,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. Based on the scenario described above I would recommend retrying the setup again and see if it works fine or not. If it still does not work, I suggest reaching out to the customer/technical support team of Geeni and provide them the details of your issue. They would be the best resource in this case to assist you with your issue. If this is an ongoing issue at Geeni's end, they do have dedicated channels through which they can reach out us providing details of the issue. Once, we have complete context of the issue, our engineering team will take a look into this and provide Geeni with a solution as soon as possible.

Did you try to remove and then re connect the Geeni integration in google home? Probably won't help but it's worth a shot. Other than that the only other suggestion I would have is to move your devices off of the Geeni app and onto the Tuya Smart app.

Yes multiple times.   I believe they have now fixed it.   I submitted a support ticket.

I believe what happens is that every time Google Home is updated in a manner that affects “works with Google Home” products, Geeni and Cync both are late to adjust to said update. They all unlink from Home for a few hours. It’s usually near midnight. In the morning it’s all back to normal.  This has happened here about 15 times in a couple years. It would probably a good idea to have a means to advise people an update is underway that may affect connectivity. But that would be good customer service.
