best way to query a Matter device over REST API (not from Android)?

I have some Matter devices registered with my Google Home network.

I'd like to query these devices using a REST API to make their status available on a web page. The only Google Home APIs I've seen seem to be for Android only. Are there any REST APIs that let me interrogate my Matter devices from a web server (i.e. non-Android device)?

There's currently no official REST API to query Matter devices from non-Android web servers. While Google provides Android APIs for Matter integration, web-based solutions aren't yet available. The iOS Matter API support is in development and expected to launch soon.
