All 3 Minis stopped reminding!

I have 2 Minis and a Nest Hub.  One of the most important functions of all of them is the Reminder feature. It has worked flawlessly for years. Suddenly, I am just not given my Reminders!!!  I have unplugged all units, tried each individually- nope.  They are NOT running thru a phone, I use an iPad (17,51)  Am about to hook up Alexa for Reminders - please help!  Thanks!🙏🏻😊

There are many settings in your speakers and display that could've caused them to stop reminding you as before. Let's explore what those settings are and what can be done about them.

When was the last time you received a reminder from these devices? Were they daily reminders? My first suggestion would be to create a new reminder and monitor it to see if it's being broadcast at the specified time. Use the command "Hey Google remind me to do [Name of reminder] at [Date and time]" and let me know what your speaker or display says. You can also ask your speakers "Hey Google what are my reminders?" to get a breakdown of which reminders are active.

It's important to ensure that in your Home view in the Google Home app, you tap on any of your speakers and then settings and make sure that in the notifications and digital wellbeing tab, notifications are turned on.

Thank you!  I have tried many times to leave reminders on the device, to no avail.  Now I see that my Home app does not list any of my devices!  I have tried adding them in, even starting a new location - nope: can’t find any device, even after repeated reboots.  My Minis work- they know my locations for weather and whatnot, recognize my voice - but there is nothing in Home that shows they exist!  I do not know how to force a restart of Home on my iPad, so haven’t done that. App is up to date, as far as I can see. The main thing I use the minis for are reminders, so this is annoying- Use Alexa now!  Thanks for any ideas!

Your Speakers and display not being on the app could be one of the reasons why their reminders are not working as expected. The first thing I suggest you try is to uninstall and install back the Google Home app. This will force a restart on the app and prompt you to sign in to your Google account once again. If you're logged into the wrong Google account, these devices won't be available.

However, if you uninstall the app and still can't see these speakers on the Google Home app, I suggest following this article on how to Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays on one of your speakers and then pair it again with the Google Home app, after doing so test your reminders once more.
