So anyone come across something that works. Alexa? Maybe if google spent more time on their products instead of trying to brainwash people to be woke, then we might get some speakers that work and a small company like perplexity wouldn't have beat them to an AI browser that Google should have made five years ago. it really is time to break this company up into a hundred little companies and be the end of this nightmare.
everytime power flickers i have to add 7 new speakers all over again...then they don't pair...ever. why bother. I need an alternative to this crap. anyone?

So, because of your poor electricity supply you're blaming Google for your experience?

No I think Google's speakers are excellent because they will never connect to their app, also they will never pair. I find this highly entertaining, and yes I live in a slum where we all share one extension cord so I don't have elite electrical supply like your greatness, but even here in the favela it makes no sense why when power flickers, all the speakers revert back to new installation. I would think a huge company with billions upon billions would have thought...maybe they should just be like every other internet connected bulb, camera, etc. and just reconnect. If you need anyone to wash your limo or clean around your estate please hire me so i can afford better electricity. Thank you.

Yes, I am fortunate that I live in a country (Australia) that has electrical wiring standards (Australian Standard AS 3000) and that it is illegal to
perform your own electrical work. A qualified electrician must do anything mains power related.
Some countries like the US allow anyone to do electrical wiring and installations on their homes.
So, If you live in the US or any other country with such casual regards to quality and safety, I would highly recommend that you contact a qualified electrician to see about that flickering. It could be a loose wire somewhere in the system.

no need. since these speakers don't work at all, I don't need electricity. I will just survive by candlelight. I agree with you, that must explain why everyone is rushing to move to australia
