Bringing up nest cam feed on google hub stops white noise/media playing on google home

I have dived head first into the google ecosystem, including subscribing to the nest aware - but there have been some frustrations with the experience.

I have a nest cam IQ to monitor my baby in her room, and a google home speaker playing white noise to help her sleep. If I try to pull up a video to watch my baby on any of my nest hubs or nest hub max, it would cause the white noise to stop (and subsequently the baby to wake up). The google home within the nursery will then need to be reset in order to play again, because pressing play with my phone or on the google home won't restart the audio. 

Google has stated they are aware of the issue, but it's now more than 2 months with still no fix. I tested this again yesterday and I am still having the same issue. I bought the nest hubs specifically to use to monitor camera feeds and I can't even use them for this purpose. This was working fine before the August (fuchsia update), why can't the software just be rolled back to a previous version if it is not working properly?

I went with all google products for a more seamless experience, but this has certainly not been the case. Apparently pulling up 3rd party camera feeds on the hub won't cause this issue, only google's own nest cams will.

Is there any fix on the horizon? Is this even going to be addressed anymore?

They assured me that the fix is still on to be implemented with the next update. I don't have a time frame to share.
