Not sure if I have picked the correct labels above but my problem is 

last week I could click on the Google home app on my phone and this week it has all changed.

where do I go now to broadcast

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Could you please check if your Home app is updated on its latest version? You can try to unistall and reinstall back the Home app and see if this would make any changes. As soon as it is installed, "Broadcast" button is located under "Favorites".
