Broken firmware

My google home mini seems to have broken its own firmware. And now refuses to work at all.

This started about a week ago, any time I would use "Hey Google" it would say: "There was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" or it would say "Sorry, something went wrong, try again in a few seconds".

In the google home app, I also couldn't connect to the device at all.

I was hoping that this would fix itself, but it's been about a week now so I decided to try to fix it myself.

I factory reset my google home mini using the button at the bottom of the device.
After reset I set it up in the google home app as usual.

Setup went just as normal.

However, the problem is seemingly even worse now. Because now, the google home mini keeps claiming that it hasn't been set up yet.

I've factory reset it about 3 times now. I've rebooted it several times but no matter what I do it refuses to start working again.

It shows up in the google home app, but I can't access the device settings either.
I can only cast audio.

So needless to say, I'm stuck and all I can seemingly do now is hope that it fixes itself in an update.
