I’m trying to set up my Nest Hub 2nd Gen to automatically turn on and, or chime when there is motion at my front door (the same way the Hub automatically turns on when someone presses the Nest Doorbell battery).

Hi there, Rdianco.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am sorry to hear that you have had trouble setting up your chime alerts through your Nest Hub 2nd Gen. I have looked into this issue for you, and I need some clarification first.

  • Are you trying to set up your Nest Hub 2nd Gen as the main Chime? Or are do you have an actual chime set up, and just want the notifications to come through this device as well?

I know that seems like a silly question, but it will determine how best to assist you in the end. Please let me know if you need further assistance, and I do look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Regards,

Brad.
