Can't get google next to act as bluetooth speakers - Windows 10

borgr
Community Member

The nest was connected as bluetooth and I used it as speakers for a couple of months. Suddenly, it was not in the list of connected speakers.

I reinstalled, re-paired, removed drivers, updated drivers. Nothing helps.

The pairing is easily done, but it does not appear in the list of audio devices

When getting into Bluetooth & other devices the speakers (Family room speaker) is under Other devices, rather than Audio.

Hi borgr,

Thanks for responding.

Let's go ahead and try to perform a complete reset tou your speakers and as soon as it is completely set up, let's try one more time to connect your speakers to your devices to see if that would make any changes.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Princess

Hi borgr,

Thanks for reaching out.

Sorry to hear about what's happening with your Bluetooth connectivity in your Google speakers. A few things I'd like to confirm, did you already try connecting your Google Nest speakers to other devices like phone via Bluetooth? Does it work? Let's go ahead and try to connect it first to other devices so we can further check if this is a device specific issue.

Keep me posted.

Princess

Hi,

I tried connecting it to my phone (Android), it connects well, but the sound keeps playing from the phone, not the google nest.
