Can't set up new Nest Hub

When I try to set up my new Nest Hub it tells me it needs to be activated and sends me to the Play Store to download the Device Utility App.  After a few seconds it says the app is installed but I can't find it listed anywhere, hence I cannot run it.  Any ideas how to procede further? I am stuck in this place in the install process.

To add some info I am using a Google Pixel 6 Pro to install the Nest Hub.

I am having the same issue. Home app says additional set up on the device is needed. And I'm following all the appropriate steps. Pixel 3xl.

Hey f1jim, 

 

Apologies for the trouble.

 

You can give these steps a try: 

 

  1. Reset your Google Nest Hub. 
  2. Download the Device Utility app 
  3. Open the Device Utility app. 
  4. Allow Location access. 
  5. Turn on Bluetooth. 
  6. Disconnect the phone from the Wi-Fi network. 
  7. The app starts to look for devices. 
  8. Activate the device. 
  9. Finish the activation. 
  10. If all fails, try setting up your devices using a different phone.
