Can the Nest treat the Kasa Smart Light Switch just like a light bulb?

I really, really wish that smart light switches could be treated the same as light bulbs in Google home.

It drives me crazy that Google Assistant can give a simple chime when a smart bulb is being used in the same room as the Nest ("Turn off lights") - but this does not work for smart switches.  Instead we're back to the extra long response when you give a command like "Turn off the Kitchen light."  (meaning, the light switch that you have named "Kitchen light" which is in the same room as the Nest). 

So my request is

1) Can Google just please fix this issue so that the chimes are enabled for all commands, always, regardless of the command or the device type? There's a thread that's going on 7 years old requesting this; I can't believe that it would take Google engineers 7 years to solve this problem!!!  I don't need or want a full complete sentence to confirm Google understood and is executing my command.

2)  In the absence of a full solve for the experience, can we just treat light switches the exact same as light bulbs?  They functionally do exactly the same thing, from the perspective of the Nest. 

Please just help keep my home less noisy! 

Mysteriously several of the link threads discussing this feature request have vanished....perhaps they will be outdated soon?!?!
